#SNIPE TIME JBIDWATCHER PC#
I stick this up on a shelf in the spare room and then connect to it remotely from my main PC using VNC software (free) when I need to do things on there. It needs no monitor, keyboard or mouse - just an old network card and basic graphics card. Not feasible for everyone I know, but a good solution if you can.įor example I have a very old Dell machine that quite happily runs Linux (free) connected to my router. If you have an always on broadband connection (which many folks do these days) I think you are better off just leaving a machine running with sniping software in the background. The problem I have with a lot of the online sniping tool sites is that its yet another middleman in the process taking a cut of you hard earned on top of the already high ebay and paypal fees. I think in reality it doesn't actually make a massive difference to the price you get things for over say submitting your maximum bid in the last 10 mins or so of an auction normally. For me the advantage of sniping software is you set your maximum price ahead of time and don't get drawn into "bidding fever" during the closing stages of an auction.
